UPDATES: JP2 Pedophile Priests Army World eruptions in Brazil, Norway, Sweden …
As Benedict XVI celebrates his 83rd birthday and his fifth anniversary as pope, eruptions of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army which he condoned and covered-up for over 30 years are happening all over the world. When he came to the United States and celebrated his 81st birthday in Washington DC, he barely mentioned the priest pedophilia scandal exclusive to the USA. What a difference two years make. Now it is in many countries. That’s because he just declared John Paul II a “Venerable” bringing him to a one-more step to sainthood and St. Michael the Archangel cannot stand this papal totalitarianism and hypocrisy any longer. – Please read details in our latest posts in the John Paul II MIllstone http://www.jp2m.blogspot.com/ and Benedict XVI Ratzinger: God's Rottweiler http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - A Brazilian priest has been accused of sexually abusing children in his parish, Brazil's G1 news website reported Tuesday, in the latest pedophile allegations to rock the Catholic Church.
Jose Afonso De, the 74-year-old priest of the Sao Vicente de Paulo parish in Franca, a town 400 kilometers (250 miles) from Sao Paulo, is denying the accusations.
But a prosecutor, Graciela de Lourdes David Ambrosio, told G1 the adolescents involved had given 'very coherent statements' incriminating De.

Catholic Church told of three new cases
NORWAY
The Foreigner
Three new cases regarding the sexual abuse of minors have been divulged to the Norwegian Catholic Church. This now brings the total to 12.
“We’re going to be contacting those who have reported the incidents,” Bernt Eidsvig, Bishop of Oslo and Trondheim, tells VG.
All of the victims are now adults.
Abuse scandal reaches Sweden

Allegations of sexual abuse have now also been levelled against priests of the relatively small Catholic Church in Sweden.
Catholic doctor Bengt Malmgren warns in his blog on the portal Newsmill against premature condemnation of the Church:
“You can’t praise Ratzinger/Pope Benedict XVI for having done everything right. Nevertheless it is incorrect in the present situation to say that he has dealt too hesitantly with cases of sexual assault in the Catholic Church
Catholic church in Sweden reports two child abuse cases
SWEDEN
Earth Times
Stockholm - The Catholic church in Sweden, a mainly Lutheran country, on Tuesday said it had received two complaints of child abuse by priests.
Both cases were several decades old. One of the cases dated back to the 1940s, the other was a little more recent, the church said.
"It is with deep sorrow I have received these complaints," Bishop Anders Arborelius said in a statement, adding he hoped that other victims would dare to come forward to ensure they got redress
'Catholics in Sweden must challenge Rome'

The Local
The Catholic Church in Sweden must demand that the Vatican abolish celibacy for priests, allow women to be ordained, stop oppressing homosexuals and reverse its ban on contraception, argues Swedish Catholic and poet Marcus Birro.
I am a Catholic and still proud of it. I love the hearty moralism of which Catholicism is a part. I love clear guiding principles.
I love liberal Catholicism, the strand of the church that borders on revolution, that carries incredible strength in its furrowed hands, that can venture and risk everything, even if does not always do so.
I am a man of words but my verbal capacity is stretched to its absolute limit when I try to formulate the disappointment I feel when reading about bishops and priests in the Catholic Church in Ireland, the United States, Norway, Denmark, and Italy, which is my second home. Their systematic, hellish, unrestrained abuses and violations have dragged my faith, my God, and my belief in humanity into the dirt.
Pupils "sadistically tormented" at German monastery
GERMANY
Reuters
(Reuters) - Children were "sadistically tormented and also sexually abused" at a Catholic monastery in Pope Benedict's native Bavaria, according to a new report commissioned by the Roman Catholic Church.
A lawyer investigating accusations of abuse in a Benedictine monastery school in Ettal presented a final report to the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising Monday, including 173 pages of victims' accounts of abuse.
"My investigations quite clearly show that for decades up until around 1990, children and adolescents were brutally abused in the Ettal monastery," Thomas Pfister said in a statement.

The Roman Catholic church paid a Dutchman to keep quiet about sexual abuse by a priest, Dutch current affairs programme Een Vandaag reported on Monday.
Een Vandaag spoke to Mark Klabbers (51) who attended the Canisius College, a Catholic school in the Dutch town of Nijmegen, in the 1970s. Mr Klabbers claims that one of the teachers at the school, a Jesuit priest, abused him during after-school tutoring sessions.
When Mr Klabbers reported the abuse to the church years later, it responded by proposing he sign a contract awarding him 8,000 euros for psychological damage provided he did not speak out about the abuse. The contract explicitly relieves the church of any form of responsibility for the abuse. A church official who co-signed the contract has acknowledged its existence, but refused to comment on it.
300 abuse cases, one defrocking

VICTORIA Police has called for sweeping changes to the way Melbourne's Catholic Church deals with sex crime allegations, as The Age reveals that only one priest has been defrocked for abuse in the past 14 years.
Nearly 300 allegations of sexual abuse have been substantiated by church investigations since 1996, when the ''Melbourne Response'' was set up to deal with complaints. It is believed the abuses were perpetrated by approximately 100 priests, a figure the church will not confirm. Just one priest has been defrocked as a result. Some other priests lost their role serving a parish full-time.
Church sources say police are pushing for change because they do not want accused priests told about covert criminal investigations. Last year detectives feared the church's independent commissioner, Peter O'Callaghan, QC, may have compromised two covert investigations when he told two priests, through their lawyers, that they were being investigated. He did this without the consent of detectives, who had not yet interviewed the priests. Mr O'Callaghan's investigation is suspended when police begin theirs - and he argues that priests have a right to know.
Protests in Berlin: Despite the Catholic Church's efforts --which have come in the form of telephone counseling hotlines, advice centers, officials appointed to address abuse cases and verbose statements in which the church expresses its dismay -- many victims' hopes for justice are turning into disappointment.
German Abuse Victim Accuses Catholic Church of Failing to Investigate
Heinrich Mussinghoff, the Roman Catholic bishop of the western German city of Aachen, said the church would investigate cases of abuse thoroughly. But now he is being criticized for failing to act.

Despite hotlines and leaders' promises, many victims of sexual abuse within the Catholic Church remain disappointed. In Aachen, Germany, an alleged sexual abuse victim claims Church authorities have failed to follow up on claims that he was sexually molested by a priest right up until 2007.
Heinrich Mussinghoff, the Roman Catholic bishop of the western German city of Aachen, is relentless when it comes to investigating abuse cases. "We make sure that such deeds are thoroughly investigated, and we punish the culprits if they are found to be guilty," he said in an Easter Vigil sermon. "We pay attention to the victims and offer humane, therapeutic and pastoral support."
Christopher, 19, lives in his diocese. He claims that he endured several years of sexual abuse at the hands of Georg K., a Catholic priest, up until 2007. It is one of the most recent cases in the Catholic Church in which serious accusations have been made.
